The Invisalign Treatment Process

Initial Consultation

If you're interested in Invisalign as a solution to your misalignment, we recommend calling to schedule a consultation. During this visit, our dentist will perform a thorough evaluation of your teeth and gums to ensure Invisalign is the most appropriate treatment method for your needs. If you are not a good candidate for Invisalign, our dentist may recommend an alternative, like traditional braces.

Treatment Planning

Once you are deemed eligible for Invisalign, our dentist will begin planning your personalized treatment. This may involve taking comprehensive 3D impressions of your teeth, which are used to design your custom-fitted aligners and also to show you how your treatment will progress and your estimated final results.

Custom-Fitted Aligners

When you receive your custom-fitted aligners, they'll fit comfortably--but snugly--over your upper and/or lower teeth. These clear, plastic aligners are BPA-free so they're completely safe and non-toxic. You can remove them to eat and brush your teeth, but we recommend wearing them at least 22 hours per day, if not more to ensure your treatment progresses in a timely manner.

Monitoring Progress

Periodically, you'll come into our Bloomington, Illinois, office for checkups. At this time, our dentist will check your progress and provide you with the next set of aligners. If you aren't wearing your aligners enough, you could delay your treatment significantly.

Instructions for Wear and Care

Our dentist will provide you with detailed instructions and recommendations on how to clean properly care for your aligners. Brush and floss your teeth after eating and clean your aligners thoroughly before reinserting them.

Payment Options

For your convenience, our office offers several payment options for Invisalign, including CareCredit. Call our team at 309-664-6868 to ask any questions, schedule a consultation or inquire about payment options.
